Latimer Theological Institute is the diocesan theological training program for the Missionary Diocese of the East in the United Episcopal Church of North America. Latimer offers a range of degree and certificate programs designed to prepare graduates for a life of vocational Christian service as ministers, teachers, and leaders in Christ’s Church.
Latimer Theological Institute is offers a variety of degree programs to prepare individuals for ministry and Christian service. B.A. programs are available in Theology or Christian Education. M.A. programs are available in Ministry or Theology, Ministry & Mission. Latimer also offers a graduate Bachelor of Divinity to students who meet certain requirements.
Degree programs of study offered by Latimer Theological Institute have been declared exempt from the requirements for licensure, under provisions of North Carolina General Statutes Section (G.S.) 116-15 (d) for exemption from licensure with respect to religious education. Exemption from licensure is not based upon assessment of program quality under established licensing standards.
